Lisa has a friend who lives in Portland, Maine. Around nine years ago, her Maine Coon cat slipped out of the house, hooked up with a local tomcat, and spent a wild, passionate night with him under the front porch. The result was Caesar, along with several litter mates.
Lisa’s friend couldn’t keep all the kittens. So we volunteered to adopt Caesar — and he’s been with us ever since.
Caesar is a sweet, gentle cat whose chief interests in life are:
- Napping
- Getting belly rubs
- Drinking from the tap
- Hanging out on top of the armoire in the living room
Caesar is affectionate, but doesn’t like to be held.

Caesar and Mac Hanging Out Together
Unfortunately, Caesar has a kidney disease. Fortunately, though, we caught it very early when we noticed that he was drinking an excessive amount of water. Now he’s on a special diet and should have a lot of happy years with us.
Caesar usually gets along with Faith and Mac, except when they want to chase him. They seem to think he wants to play like a dog, but he just wants to be left alone.
